The Big Lester is a powerful machine pistol in the game Commando 2, which appears to be far ahead of its time. It is obtained by accomplishing the 9th Mission, and unlocking the 10th Mission.
Description[]
It has extremely high rate of fire and numerically the largest magazine in the game (if counting the double shot, it has 1,000 bullets). Every hit gives extra bonus of 100 points.
Pros[]
- Excellent weapon for clearing out large groups of infantry.
- Biggest magazine in the game.
- Fastest rate of fire out of all ranged weapons.
- Character selection doesn't impact the rate of fire.
- If enough ammo is conserved on the 12th Mission, the Big Lester can go on to take out the Warlord Samurai with aid from the Dragon Destructor and/or Pequeno-R25.
- Pairs well with the lesser TI Prescision; especially if playing as the Female character.
Cons[]
- Rate of fire consumes ammo quickly.
- Spread from firing the weapon makes some of the bullets hit the ground, when at a certain angle.
Notes[]
- When a player is on the 12th Mission before it is beaten, the player has to carefully choose the final weapon slot. The other slots are easily filled by the Big Lester, Pequeno-R25, and Dragon Destructor. That leaves the player with two optimal lesser choices: choosing either the DA Moonshadow or TI Prescision.
Trivia[]
- It is very uncommon due to most players failing to beat Mission 7 and Mission 8.
- It reappears in Commando 3 as a pistol. The male character automatically has this gun on Mission 4. In Commando 3, this gun is nowhere near as powerful, as it has a low count of RPM.
- The Big Lester is one of 7 weapons that has a variant of multi-shooting while consuming only 1 magazine, with the other weapons being the Scorpion, Logan-35, C25 Marrugo, SE-40 Prowse, Dominator, and Pequeno-R25.
